Barkerina altera † | ||
Barkerina[1] es un género de foraminífero bentónico de la familia Barkerinidae, de la superfamilia Nezzazatoidea, del suborden Nezzazatina y del orden Lituolida.[2] Su especie tipo es Barkerina barkerensis. Su rango cronoestratigráfico abarca desde el Valanginiense inferior (Cretácico inferior) hasta el Senoniense (Cretácico superior).
Discusión
Clasificaciones previas incluían Barkerina en la superfamilia Haplophragmioidea, así como en el suborden Textulariina del orden Textulariida,[3] o en el orden Lituolida sin diferenciar el suborden Nezzazatina.[4][5]
